HOW WE BEGAN
I saw my first Crested in the Summer of 2001 when a lady I worked with brought in her new puppy that she had purchased at the local Flea Market. That was when I knew I had to have one of these
adorable dogs. After reading and researching I found that this was exactly what I wanted and began my quest to find a Created. I wasn't going to settle for just any Crested, It had to be AKC regiesterd and come from a reputable breeder, not a puppy mill.
We finally located and purchased our first Crested "Uli" in October of 2001 from Marion Valasco of SeeMarNan.
We bred our first litter in the fall of 2002.
"HEALTH ISSUES"
All of my dogs are CERF'd and OFA'd before they are placed in my breeding program. There are health problems in this breed that we must try to prevent. There's no guarantee that you will not produce a puppy that will have some kind of problem and it's not a crime if you do. However, if you know there's a problem and you continue to use that dog over and over again in your breeding program, how can you call yourself a "reputable Breeder"?
